The London Safeguarding Children Board's 2008 summer conference, which focussed on safeguarding children at risk of sexual abuse, took place at the British Library on Wednesday June 18th. London Safeguarding Children Health Professionals Network (Feb 21st 2008)

On February 21st 2008, the London Board and CSIP arranged a morning for LSCBs and the London Safeguarding Children Health Professionals Network to meet and discuss the challenges around aligning serious case reviews and serious untoward incident processes.  The papers from this event are available to download via the link below:

Dr Michael Durfee, Child death review process (July 25th 2007)

On Wednesday July 25th, the London Safeguarding Children Board hosted a presentation from Dr Michael Durfee, who shared his extensive experience in setting up and managing child death review panels in the USA. As these will become a requirement in the UK from April 2008, this was an excellent opportunity to hear some first hand experience of the issues involved in the process – and how they can be overcome.
