Learning from one another seminar 2
Following last year’s popular series of child sexual abuse seminars, the London Board agreed to host a similar series of sessions throughout 2009, this time focussing on safeguarding children across culture and faith in partnership with the Victoria Climbie Foundation.
The second of these sessions will be held on Tuesday 14th July 2009, 2pm –5pm (central London venue tbc), and is now open for bookings. The seminar will be led by Southall Black Sisters and focuses on what works when engaging with BME communities around safeguarding children abused through domestic violence.

Child death review processes - amended procedures, notification form and information for families
Please follow the links below to download the London Child Death Overview Panel Procedure (February 2009), Rapid Response Procedure (May 2009) and Initial Notification Form (May 2009). These documents have been amended following extensive consultation and overview by an expert editorial group of CDOP Chairs, CDOP Managers and Designated Doctors for Child Death, and have been signed off by the London CDOP Chairs Network. These documents replace those originally published in March 2008.

The CDOP Chairs group have also issued amended versions of the model leaflet and letter for families, which are available to download below. Please note that the use of these documents is not compulsory, but they are available for any CDOP which wishes to use them.
