London Regional Safeguarding Advisers
Kathy Bundred, Kay Bell and Vivien Lines have been in post since April 2010 as Regional Safeguarding Advisers for the London Safeguarding Children Board. Vivien Lines has been seconded full-time to London Borough of Newham. Kathy Bundred has been seconded full-time recently to Havering. London Regional Safeguarding Advisers - March 2011
The aim of this two year project is to improve the safety of children in London by strengthening partnership arrangements across the capital as well as to offer advice and support to individual London boroughs on safeguarding as needed.
Much of the advisers' time is spent working with boroughs and partners across London providing support and assistance with safeguarding issues and service developments. Please see the note below for more details on this support work, and a template for boroughs to use when requesting assistance from an adviser:

The advisers have written up case studies for each of their support projects with local authorities.
